Hi, My Name Is Jose A. Esquerra.
Hello, my name is Jose A. Esquerra I am 32 years old, and I am a proud father of three beautiful children whom I love with all my heart.

I was sentenced to Turning Point Men’s Home November 2023 and prior to the men’s home my life was a mess.

I was released from prison to find myself homeless, and I struggled with drug and alcohol addiction along with so many other things that kept me tied down. I felt a sense of hopelessness and void in my heart that only God could fill.

I've Been Here Before, But I Knew
Something Needed To Change...

I had been to the Men’s home before, and I knew that if I continued in my wicked ways that I would either wind back up in prison or worse. I finally had made up my mind that my best choice would be to return to the home so that I could try to be there for my family so that I could be the man that they not only needed but deserved.

Since I have been here in the home I have regained my relationship with God, and I no longer feel hopeless. God has been restoring my family, and everything else that I thought that had been taken from me.

I no longer need to use anything anymore because I know that God has truly broken those chains from me.
Jeremiah 2911

The one scripture that keeps me going is Jeremiah 29:11 which reads….” for I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I have set my mind on following Jesus so that I do not look back. I am so thankful that my God has given me not only my hope, but he has also given me back my family.

I am so thankful for all the support that I received from my family and kids. I am proud to say that my kids now have a good Christian father who loves God and finally realizes his priorities in life are now.

I know that I must put God first in my life just as it says in the bible verse Matthew 6:33… But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
