Turning Point Men’s Home continues its Community Service Campaign!

As part of our mission to restore lives and give back, the men of Turning Point will be serving throughout our community through cleanup projects.

This month we cleaned up in Niland.

We focused on the main road through Niland and the Chamber of Commerce property. Our crew was led by Leo Quiroz a former Niland resident and graduated of the men’s home.

Leo lives in our transition program and when he heard about the clean-up, he took a day off work and volunteered to help.

A second crew was led by Mario Orta a former Niland Slab City resident who is now a staff member in the men’s home.  Mario handles the day-to-day functions of the home and is doing a great job.

We believe changed lives should impact the world around us.

This campaign is an opportunity for our men to demonstrate faith in action and show the love of Christ through service.

We would like to thank the City of Niland and residents who provided lunch for the men and Ed Ferguson a local resident who helped hauling off trash and tree branches.
We are also scheduled to serve in Westmorland on July 8th, where we will be helping clean up a few areas there.   Please continue to pray for our men and these outreach efforts as we seek to bring hope, restoration, and service to our communities.
