Was Given To Me, But It Still Wasn't Enough

Hi, my name is Dylan Day. I am 39 years old, and I am from Holtville, Ca. I was raised in a loving home with everything I needed.
I went to church every Sunday and attended a Christian school.

Nevertheless, I was rebellious and acted out and started using drugs at an early age which caused me to eventually drop out of school. I started working and by and my addiction progressed.

I was arrested for the first time at the age of thirty, its then I realized I needed help, so I came to the men’s home in 2014.

I completed the program and God restored my family back and even gave me a wonderful opportunity for employment.

But after a while I started missing church, I stopped praying and I began to isolate myself and drugs and alcohol slowly took control of my life once again.
Luke 11:24-26 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.

Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left. 25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there.

And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.”

Thankfully, we serve a God of second chances.

I have been back in the home for 9 months and God has completely restored my mind, my health, family and most important my relationship with Him.

I am grateful for a place like Turning Point where men can come, even if it is more than once. A place where they we are received with open arms like the prodigal son returning to the father.
