January 2024 Newsletter

I'd like to begin by extending warm wishes to everyone for a Happy New Year.

As of November 2023, Turning Point Men’s Home has entered its 29th year of ministry, dedicated to assisting men grappling with various life-controlling issues. Over these 29 years, our doors have welcomed thousands of men, some of whom have returned multiple times.  The rise of Fentanyl has profoundly impacted our local community, emerging as the predominant drug in our area.

Dealing with men addicted to Fentanyl over the past year has revealed the severe withdrawal process, described by one former client as something they would rather not endure even if it meant death. It's truly heartbreaking to hear such sentiments.

The commitment of myself and the Turning Point staff remains unwavering in our efforts to help those struggling with addiction. This past year has brought the joy of witnessing not only men completing the program but also six individuals staying on to undertake internships. Some have successfully completed the internship and are now transitioning to new lives with jobs.

Witnessing lives transformed by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ is an exciting and fulfilling aspect of our work.

In conclusion, I want to express a heartfelt THANK YOU for the continued support throughout the years. Many of you have partnered with our ministry, playing a crucial role in making a difference in the lives of the men we serve.

As we embark on our 29th year, your support remains essential. While our mission remains unchanged — providing a safe and healthy environment for men to establish a personal relationship with Christ — your ongoing support is what enables us to meet the needs of those we serve.

God Bless
