My name is Robert Diaz. By God’s grace and mercy, I have now been at Turning Point Men’s Home for eight months. This program was given to me as an opportunity to completely turn my life around—and I can confidently say it has done just that.
Before coming to Turning Point, my life had become lonely, dark, and desolate. I was living in sin and suffering, constantly battling severe anxiety, depression, and a complete lack of purpose or direction. Although I struggled deeply, one thing I never lost was hope.
That hope is what led me to turn to God. I began praying that He would rescue me from the darkness and anguish that had taken over my life—and He answered.
I reached a point where I believed things could not get any worse. Along with my emotional and mental struggles, I was dealing with physical health issues and addiction, particularly alcohol. My thinking had become irrational, my decision-making was completely distorted, and I was heading down a dead-end road. I now understand that I was living in complete disregard of the law while under the influence, and soon I was facing serious charges and the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence.
