I Didn't Know How Bad It
Was Going To Get...
Hello brothers and sisters, my name is Rodrigo Aguilar, I was brought up in a Catholic home, but I did not attend church regularly.
My mom was always there, and my dad was always away working. Eventually they ended up getting a divorce. I was still young, so I did not realize how the absence of my father really affected me.
I quickly turned to drugs by the age of twelve. I would seek the acceptance from older male figures, which only led me into getting in more trouble, and into other more addicting drugs.
At the age of 16 I volunteered for a Military Style boot camp so I could get my GED. I graduated the program, but quickly fell back to my old ways. Since I did not have a solid foundation (CHRIST). There I was at a complete stand still again, a year later at the age of eighteen my son was born.
Everything went well for about a year until I fell again. This time stakes were higher because I was providing for my son, and my partner.
If only I would have known, (JOHN 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you no branch can bear fruit by itself it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.)
I would have saved myself and my family a lot of trouble.
